Basic Theology: Glorification - Forever with the Lord

Previous: Glorification  1. Forever with the Lord. The chief attraction of future glory will be that we shall be with Him, our beloved Lord and Saviour  John 14:3 , And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 1 Thessalonians 4:17 , Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Now the Lord is with us (Isaiah 43:2; Psalm 23:4; Hebrews 13:5-6), but then we shall be with Him! The unbeliever cannot enter into this at all, and only those who want Him with them now will desire to be with Him in His glory. 2. Conformed to become like Jesus Christ. We shall not only be with Him, but we shall be like Him.  1 John 3:2 , Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. Now the future one which will take place in our life is Glorification. Romans 8:29-30 , And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. God’s purpose, or intention, for every one of His children, have been addressed here.      ➢ Foreknew,      ➢ Predestined,      ➢ Called,      ➢ Justified, and      ➢ Glorified. The guarantee of our eternal security is the fact that if we are now truly the Lord’s then our c

Basic Theology: Sufficiency of Scriptures Part 05 - Conclusion

Conclusion: Previous: 6. Judgement of the Lord Psalms 19:10-13 , More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned, And in keeping them there is great reward. 12 Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults. 13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of [g]great transgression. 1. Precious To have the Word of God is more valuable than all the precious metal. The Word of God is the greatest possession one can have in his life. It is supremely valuable for it leads to the path of joy. 2. Pleasure Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Nothing is as sweet, nothing is as pleasurable, nothing is as enriching, nothing is as personally meaningful. It brings the sweetest things of earth. There’s no pleasure in life like the pleasure and the joy hours spent in the Word of God. S

 6. Judgement of the Lord Previous: 6. Judgement of the Lord V9, The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. The Word of God called as “the judgments” or “the ordinances” means divine verdicts. So we have Divine verdicts from the bench of the judge of all the earth. The Bible is God’s judicial determination for the life of man and eternal destiny from the eternally supreme judge. “His Word is true.” How hard it is for people in our society or in any part of the planet earth to find truth? Do you know what a battle it is to discover truth? God has given us His Word that is true. It’s always true. Hence, the Word of God is always      ✓ dependable,      ✓ relevant, and      ✓ applicable.      ✓ If the Word of God is sufficient for salvation,      ✓ If it is sufficient to perfectly transform the soul of a person,      ✓ If it is sufficient for all the skills of spiritual living,      ✓ If it is sufficient to bring full joy to overcome the sorrows and struggles of life,

Sufficiency of Scriptures Part 05 Previous: Sufficiency of Scriptures Part 04 What is lacking in the modern-day Christians?      ➢ Reading the Word,      ➢ Obeying the Word,      ➢ Living it out,      ➢ Teaching the Word, and      ➢ Proclaiming the Word. The reason for this is that they don’t understand the truth about the sufficiency of the Scriptures. Psalms 19 and 119 God’s World  – Verses 1-6 God’s Word  – Verses 7-11 God’s Way  – Verses 12-14 Let us look at God’s Word from  Verses 7 to 11 . 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned

Basic Theology: Sufficiency of Scriptures Part 04 - The commandment of the Lord

 4. The commandment of the Lord Previous: Sufficiency of Scriptures Part 04 V 8, The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The commandment of the Lord is pure/clear. The word commandment is divine decrees. This shows that the Word of God emphasized on its authority. The Word of God is not a lot of suggestions, but it is commandments and its binding. God requires us to obey His commandments and for those who respond, there is a blessing and for those who do not, there is judgment. The Word of God which comes to us as commandment from God, “is clear.” It’s not mystifying, confusing and puzzling. When there is darkness in the world, and you can’t understand what’s going on? You don’t know why things are happening the way they are, what makes it clear to you? Answer: The Word of God, it can only make things clear. Remember the life of Job? ✓ To be able to see truth in this dark world, ✓ Struggling to know what truth is, ✓ To be able to understand what is right and wrong,
